Week 7’s bound to be a big one for the MAC. After last week with two big upsets over in the MAC West (CMU over EMU, Ball State over NIU) and Buffalo vs. Ohio ended in overtime, we’re heading into a weekend that doesn’t need a whole lot of context to get excited about. We’ve got two big rivalry games, NIU goes to Ohio, EMU’s got an important homecoming date with Ball State, and WMU-Miami was really exciting last year.
Heck, even CMU’s been playing well at home. This might be an easy win for the group? (Don’t let me be the one to influence you here.)

This week’s Pick ‘Em can get you up to 46 points, and it’s going to be a little bit different in here this time. As per usual, one point for the non-conference game, two for MAC crossover games, three for in-division games, and everybody’s favorite “pick six” portion at the end.
But I’ve added one more thing, and it’s something you’ve probably done on Twitter two months ago. This Pick ‘Em has a part where you can earn TEN (10) POINTS for making MAC standings predictions 100% right while we’re in the middle of the season. I’m sure your opinion on these MAC teams has changed in one way or another since August.
- Deadline for entries will always be as soon as the games for that week kick-off. For this week, I’ll stop taking submissions as soon as the Saturday games begin at noon.
- Your entry with the latest timestamp is the one that matters the most. So you can make your picks on Monday, then submit new picks on Wednesday, but I’m only accepting Wednesday’s picks.
