MACtion Transfer Portal (2018-19)

Below is a list of players from the Mid-American Conference who plan to leave, or have left, their respective teams by entering their names in the brand-new NCAA transfer portal.

If there’s a name in the portal that affects the MAC and isn’t listed below, please contact me via Twitter (@MACProspectus) or email ( All sources remain anonymous.

  • Just because a player’s name has been entered into the portal, that doesn’t mean the player is forced to leave. This also doesn’t mean the affected head coach is forced to hold a roster spot for the player if he doesn’t end up transferring. That player also isn’t guaranteed his scholarship back, either.
  • As of 4/19/19, 39 players (not including Tyree Jackson) have entered their names into the transfer portal and 14 have either joined or committed to new colleges; eight stayed at the FBS level (eight to Power 5 schools), three joined FCS teams, one to Division II and another went JUCO.
  • Buffalo QB Tyree Jackson entered his name in the transfer portal days after the Dollar General Bowl, but announced his decision to declare for the NFL Draft instead just days later.
  • Northern Illinois WR Amir Brummett announced that he’s looking to play basketball instead.
