Tuesday Night Lights: Getting too deep about some two deeps

Episode 55 of Tuesday Night Lights is live, and is available for you to download on your preferred podcast-listening device.

Episode description:

Football’s finally back!

We’ve known what the Week 1 slate has looked like for a while, but now it’s about time to actually get the season started. Plus, with teams publishing their opening depth charts and two-deeps, it’s time to analyze and over-analyze a few notes.

Some things we asked ourselves: Who/what are we most wrong about? What’s a game we’re really looking forward to? Is Alex just being a hater on Akron’s offense?

Buffalo could be as good as any team out of the MAC East to come away with a banner year and make it back to the MAC Championship game for the first time in 10 years. This year, specifically, will be the most-telling of Lance Leipold’s time at Buffalo. Considering the talent on the roster, if he can’t elevate this year’s team past 6-6, will he ever be able to?
