A pair of prep recruits from Pennsylvania picked a pair of Mid-American Conference schools to commit to on Monday.
Ball State got itself a three-star wide receiver in Rahmon Hart Jr. (Pittsburgh, Pa.; Plum, Imani Christian Academy) and Toledo received a commitment from defensive tackle Gaige Hill (Altoona, Pa.; Altooa). For Ball State, Hart is the third player to commit to the program for the 2019 recruiting cycle and Hill is Toledo’s fifth commit.

By 247sports.com, Hart’s 0.8416 composite score gives the 6-foot-3, 200-pound receiver a three-star rating and is the highest-graded player in the three-player class. Hart’s first offer came from local FBS program Temple back in May of 2016, months before his sophomore campaign, and Ball State’s offer eventually came on April 20 of this year. Hart’s other offers came from Howard, Toledo, Buffalo, Robert Morris, Eastern Kentucky, Army, Slippery Rock (his dad played there), Navy and Youngstown State.
Ball State didn’t have any recruits from Pennsylvania join the program via the 2018 signing class.
With his size and strength, Hart’s definitely the type of receiver who can be an option if the quarterback needs to throw it up to the corner of the end zone on goal-line pass plays.
Hill’s the third commit from Pennsylvania to commit to the Rockets, joining cornerback Michael Coleman (Pittsburgh, Pa.; Woodland Hills) and defensive end Jerome Henderson (Erie, Pa.; McDowell).
He’s unranked as of now, but that’s likely to change in Hill’s favor. The other two Pennsylvania natives that committed to Toledo were unranked when they made their decisions, but are now graded as three-star recruits. Hill lineman is listed at 6-foot-4, 280 pounds which is basically par for the course in terms of other defensive tackles Toledo has brought in over the years.
