MAC Recruiting Notebook: S Tyrone Scott visits CMU & an Update on JUCO DB DJ Williams

JUCO Defensive back DJ Williams, one-time Chattanooga signee, has had his recruitment heat up as of late. Bowling Green and Northern Illinois are two MAC programs who are recruiting him pretty hard. With that said, offers are still rolling in for Williams so it will be interesting to monitor his recruitment over the next few months.

When asked about the recruiting process, this is what Williams told MAC Prospectus:

“The recruiting process has been a blessing for me and just starting to heat up…I want to go somewhere I know I can fit in their defense immediately and help them win games….I graduate in December and wherever I sign, I enroll this spring semester.”

He currently reports offers from NIU, Bowling Green, Hawaii, Nevada, and Southern Miss.

Williams is known as a hard-hitter and would provide an immediate boost to whatever program he ultimately chooses.

WR/S Tyrone Scott recently announced on Twitter that his visiting CMU this weekend. Per 247Sports, Scott currently reports offers from Ball State, CMU, Cincinnati, Appalachian State, Boston College, Marshall, Georgia Southern, and Tulane. Scott hails from Savannah, Georgia which has developed into a recruiting hotbed for Ball State lately. It is easy to envision a scenario where Scott winds up playing in the MAC at some point.
