Akron, Miami, Kent State, and Toledo all in the mix for 2-star WR Jalen Hooks

With camp in full force and real football just around the corner, things have slowed down a little on the recruiting trail. With that said, 2-star WR Jalen Hooks is someone who has multiple MAC programs taking notice.

According to 247Sports Hooks currently has reported offers from Akron, Boston College, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Miami, Kent State, and Toledo. He currently resides in Warren, Ohio where he attends Warren G Harding high school.

In a recent conversation with MAC Prospectus, Hooks broke down what exactly he’s looking for in a college.

“What I look for in a school is the coach’s relationship with his players , the vibe the players have with each other , distance (to an extent) and if it has what I’m looking for academically.”

As far as making a decision, Hooks tweeted out a few weeks ago that he could be committing sooner rather than later.

With multiple MAC programs heavily involved in his recruitment, it’s a legitimate possibility that one of them lands this dynamic receiver. His ability to win jump balls in the redzone is a skill that sticks out, and should transfer over nicely to the next level.
